Have you dropped your coins in the little red kettle?
December 6th, 2007 11:11 PM

Every once in awhile, I feel it's important to use this site for good causes (Red Cross, Salvation Army, Capitol River Council, and other great nonprofit).

This is the time of the year when you see all of those little red kettles out in front of stores.  I thought this year would be a good year to bring them online!

Click on the bell or the kettle to be directed to my donation page at the Salvation Army.  It takes two minutes to do, and it goes along way to helping others!

jingle, jingle, jingle!Cha Ching!

Farmers Market Flats Delayed
December 6th, 2007 12:37 PM

Nothing like a little drama for a development in Saint Paul!  The Farmers Market Flats development is being delayed until March to straighten out issues relating to the excavation of the site.  The contractor (Flannery Construction) ran into unforseen obstacles when they dug out the hole.  The contractor was expecting an old building collapsed on itself, but they also found two other remains of old buildings!

This moved Flannery's time table out and caused additional costs associated with it.

Drama in developments seem commonplace in Saint Paul.  Here are just a few of the developments that had its share of fun!

The Bridges fiasco (Which completely polarized the entire City)

West Side Flats (Starting, stopping, starting again, and finally canned)

Island Station (Wow, this one was a whopper!)

Great Northern Lofts (The building was sinking and the developers had to throw a ton of money at it to stop it)

River Park Lofts (where do I begin???  the 9 month delay, the title problems, or the sound proofing problems, too many to choose from!) - As a side note, the title issues have all been cleared up and the retrofitting of the sound proofing is either nearly complete or completed.

Welcome to Saint Paul Development 101

New Feature for YourStPaulHome.com!!!
December 3rd, 2007 8:37 PM

Hmm, I wonder if that's true.  I have added a new chat feature to the site!  When I am in front my my computer the little chat box to the upper left will change to "Chat with one of our agents. *Online Now*".

I had a chat feature awhile ago, but it was not as well intergraded as I would have liked it to be and I had to remove it.  This program is a much better fit!

Try it out sometime and let me know what you think!
