I didn't think it would take long for the old Margaux space in the Rossmor building to be snapped up. It looks like Sawatdee is returning to Saint Paul! They were once located in the MarketHouse building in Lowertown, then sold the franchise to Supatra's, which operated for about a year or so. I'm personally not a fan a Thai food, but am still happy they are coming to Saint Paul. It seems like everyone one I know loves the place, including my wife.
Also in the Rossmor building, the old Aroma's space looks like it's being renovated. Not sure if this is for a Sawatdee expansion, or a CAMP expansion, or a new place all together. I'm putting my money on a larger Sawatdee, but I guess time will tell.
Speaking of Thai food, Raum Mit on St Peter Street reopened a few weeks ago, let the Thai food wars begin! ;)
It's been a busy day, just getting settled in from the Thanksgiving weekend, trying to follow up with everyone.
Well, I'm halfway through my calls, when I get an email from my trusted loan officer telling me that rates DROPPED to 5.875% on a 30 year fixed rate and 5.5% for FHA or VA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was actually expecting rates to go up this week, because it looked like 'Black Friday" was a success! (good news in the economy world, normally means bad news for rates).
If you've been on the fence, NOW IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!!
Rates are ridiculously low, inventory is great, and man-o-man, there are deals to be had!
Call me if you would like to see the two best deals in Downtown (as they are not my listings, I can not advertise them on my site).
For homeowners at River Park Lofts, it seemed like the never-ending saga. Getting true ownership in the loft they purchased over a year ago. Well I heard yesterday that a big congratulations is in order!!!
PID's for everyone!!! hip-hip-horray!
Happy Birthday, Leslie!!-Bud & Amelia
Yikes! This is a much bigger project that I expected!!! I am in the process of updating the condo building pages and I thought I would breeze through it. Well, it's taking an hour or more per page. I've got through about 6 pages, with about 20+ more to go.
When I am finished, I think everyone will like the results. I will give you an example to see what I am talking about

Welcome to Meritage, the newest restaurant to open in Downtown! Tonight, they are getting their feet wet. It sounds like it's reservations only so they can control the number of people.
I would assume that next week, they will be open normal hours. They have a nifty deal going on right now too. If you have an event to go to in Downtown, you have your first two courses there, then off to the Wild or Ordway, etc. Then return for course three and pick up your car!
I can't wait to check it out!
