The Penfield - Located at 100 East 11th Street.

The Penfield is a new construction condo tower that will be 33 stories tall with approximately 313 units total. The developer, Alatus Partners was one of the partners behind the immensely popular Grant Park condominium and the Carlyle condominium both located in Minneapolis.  Alatus plans to have a variety of floor plans and price points for the Penfield.  This building will be unmatched when it comes to amenities.  A luxurious five star atmosphere is what they are going after.

The Penfield is the first new construction project of this size in Downtown in the last 18 years.  The site is bound by 11^th & 10^th Streets to the North & South and Robert & Minnesota Streets to the East & West.  Currently located at the site is the famed neoclassical Public Safety Building, which was constructed in the early 1920’s as the headquarters for the Saint Paul Police Department, and the Saint Paul Fire Engine No. 8.

Many of Saint Paul’s most notorious criminals from the 20’s and 30’s spent time in the jail located in the building.  Alatus plans to incorporate the headquarters into the overall site plan for the Penfield.  The Public Safety Building will become 18 units of flats to complement the new construction townhomes along Robert Street.
