Union Depot Lofts - Located at 214 East 4th Street.

The Union Depot was originally built in 1881. Destroyed by a fire, it was rebuilt starting in 1917, being completed in 1923. Construction was put on hold because of World War I. The Union Depot building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, securing its place in Saint Paul’s future. In 2005 work began to convert the upper floors into loft condominiums.

There are a total of 33 units, and most of them have at least two levels. Union Depot will feature a community rooftop party room and deck with amazing views of the River. Located in the Union Depot are Christos Greek and Mediterranean Restaurant and a quaint coffee shop.  This is one of the few Loft buildings in Downtown St Paul that is skyway connected.  There is a big push within the city to bring this building back as the center of rail travel.  The plan is to have light rail and high-speed rail connect to this building, and bring the glory days back to the Union Depot.
